One year blog anniversary !!

So as you can probably tell by the name of this blog post it is my One year blog anniversary 🎉 I honestly can’t believe I’ve been blogging for a whole year now it seems to have flown by I can still remember the day I started and everything it’s so weird but like a happy weird if that makes sense 😂

Before I started blogging I felt like I didn’t have a hobby or anything and felt quite lonely but I know I wanted to do something where it was on technology and I could interact with people. That’s where I found blogging and realised that it would be a great chance for me to start my own blog because I had plenty to say most of the time.

I was so passionate about so many different things but I had nowhere to say it all, so when I actually started writing blog posts I realised I could write about all of the topics that I was passionate about and help people.

I can’t actually imagine my life now without blogging, it has become one of my favourite things to invest my time and motivation on. I’ve fallen back in love with writing as I use to love it when I was back in school.

Learning how to blog? –

My first year blogging has been full of learning, enjoyment, mistakes, growth and I’ve felt like giving up many times but I’ve always come back fighting stronger and uploading better content. I have definitely learnt a lot in the first year blogging, as when I first started I knew how to actually create a blog as I had created websites before but I didn’t realise the amount of upkeep it would need and the maintenance. Plus all of the sharing of posts and reading other peoples posts etc.

But would I want it any other way?

Absolutely not because I thoroughly enjoy blogging and all that it comes with, I just wouldn’t want it any of other way because that’s what makes blogging blogging.

What have I achieved in my first year of blogging? –

Making mistakes –

There have been many mistakes that I have made in the first year of blogging and some of these mistakes I’m still learning to not to do till this day, but I wouldn’t be human without making mistakes. Making mistakes is what helps us learn and most of the stuff that we learn, we learn through making mistakes.

Some of the mistakes that I have made are –

⁃ Comparing myself to other bloggers

⁃ Not reading other bloggers blog posts

⁃ Not keeping up with SEO ( still trying to learn)

⁃ Focusing too much on statistics

⁃ Writing content which was too factual and not from experience

These are just a few of the mistakes that I have made in my first year of blogging there has definitely been more but if you keep reading about all of my mistakes you’ll get bored. I just want you to know that it is okay to make mistakes we all make them, we can’t do anything in life without making them. No one is perfect !!

Things I’ve learnt –

I’ve definitely learnt a lot through my first year of blogging, which is a mixture of mistakes and things that I have actually enjoyed learning. I love learning because of you always interested and you find out different sides to the thing that you are learning about.

For example –

⁃ Social media ( Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest)

⁃ Blog content ( researching content ideas

⁃ How to create graphics.

– New topics to discuss.

What have I actually achieved? –

As you can already tell I’ve achieved a lot in my first year of blogging, a lot of them are positives which are great.

⁃ Brand ambassador position for @aspire_2

⁃ Guest posts

⁃ Growth in statistics

⁃ Gaining a lot of followers over all of my platforms

⁃ Had an article in a digital and physical newspaper

– 400 blog followers

These are just a few of the opportunities I have gained through blogging, I am very thankful for every opportunity that I have been given because it has given me experience and I’ve met a lot of new people and more people have been able to read my content which is amazing !!

What’s next for time to talk? –

So what’s next for ‘Time to talk’ then? In all honesty, I don’t have a clue because there are always opportunities around the corner so I will keep my mind and messages open and see what comes next. I know that I’ve got a lot of exciting content coming soon and I’m hoping to change my blog theme in the next few months 😝
