Mental health

The real reason I created this website / blog was due to mental health, because in my opinion mental health is such a big thing in the 21st century and so many people suffer either with support or alone and things need to change.

Loads of different topics of conversion appear through social media or news, and one of the areas which is talked about is mental health. Mental health affects so many people in the UK and world wide, everyone probably knows someone who suffers with mental health illness and there might be some people who don’t actually know what mental health is, so let me give you an insight to what it is. Mental health illnesses can affect anyone, this is were a certain individual might be suffering with there psychological and emotional health. Mental health affects so many different things it makes us who we are because it affects how we think, react, feel and act around people etc. Mental health doesn’t just affect someone when they are an adult it can can affect people from childhood to adulthood, there are loads of different mental health illnesses, individuals can suffer from, some of them are –

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder)
  • OCD
  • ADHD
  • Bulimia
  • Anorexia
  • Addictions

These are just some of the mental health illnesses, there are way to many to name, but there are several people around you who might be suffering with one of these illnesses and you may not even know because they don’t want you to.

This is the main reason I created this website/blog because there is still a stigma around about mental health that we shouldn’t talk about it and if we do we are labelled or stereotyped a specific way and it shouldn’t be like this, everyone should be able to feel like they can talk about there health if it’s physical or psychological.

By creating this I’m hoping in some way I can help other people who are suffering alone or with support or maybe someone who doesn’t know what mental health is and I can educate them, because the more people who know about it the more the stigma will go and people will start to feel comfortable talking about there mental health.
