Sunshine blogger award

Sunshine blogger award #1

I was nominated for the sunshine blogging award twice over the last couple of days in which I have received different questions for both of the nominations.

The first sunshine blogging award comes from @jaazsaunders , go over and check her blog here I am so thankful for the nomination as it came as such a surprise. I had actually never heard of the sunshine blogging award as I’m still new to this as I’ve only been doing it about 4 months, so I’m learning as I’m going through stuff. The sunshine blogging award is an award which is a peer recognition award, which you are nominated and recognised by your fellow bloggers. This award is for showing bloggers that they are doing an AMAZING job and just spread a bit of love around.

The rules of it are –

1. Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link back to their site.

2. List the sunshine blogger award rules and display their logo on your site.

3. Answer the sunshine blogger award questions given by the other person who nominated you.

4. Nominate 11 other bloggers and ask them 11 new questions.

5. Notify the nominees about their nominations.

So here we go the questions in which I got asked by @jaazsaunders are –

1.What is something that cheers you up?

Something in which cheers me up is being with my family and seeing them happy as this my one main priority in life is to see them happy and then I’ll be happy.

2. How do you feel right now?

At this moment in time, I feel very relaxed as I’m listening to music and writing this blog post plus its 10:21 pm.

3. What is the happiest that you’ve ever felt?

Well, this took me a few minutes to think of an answer because life’s like a rollercoaster it has so many ups and downs. The happiest I’ve felt was probably when I went to my prom on 23rd July 2017 because I was with my friends and had finished my GCSEs and I knew new adventures were going to start. It was also happy/sad because it was the last time I was going to see some people and teachers.

4. Why did you start your blog?

I started my blog because I passionate about mental health and being able to make a difference to someone’s life in a way of helping them through the struggles they were going through. But also it was a way for me to be able to interact with people who were suffering from their mental health like I was because I didn’t really have anywhere I could just be me and twitter and blog seemed to be my place. Plus. I just enjoyed writing and I’d be in my perfect element blogging.

5. What’s your best way to get more traffic to your blog?

I’m still learning about getting traffic to my blog, but the biggest way I’ve found to gain traffic to my blog is through Twitter by interacting with fellow bloggers and just generally sharing my blog.

6. What are your blogging goals? Short term and long term?

So personally I like to set goals monthly for me to try and get too, so for example, these months goals were –

June goals –

⁃ 1100 twitter followers

⁃ Upload blog post every week

⁃ Interact with my followers more

⁃ make some new blogging friends

Were as long term goals would be –

⁃ To help as many people as I can

⁃ Keep uploading posts

⁃ Make a living out of blogging

⁃ Keep gaining traffic to my blog

7.What is the weirdest dream you can remember?

Errm i honestly don’t know

8. Where do you feel most like yourself?

I feel the most like myself when I’m relaxed, not anxious or stressed normally on holiday with my family.

9.Who has had the largest influence on the person you are today?

I can’t just say one person for this one, it would have to be parents because I wouldn’t be who I am today without them. They have made me the individual that I am and they are always there for me when I need them, I love them to the moon and back. Couldn’t have asked for better parents.

10.What is your favourite thing about yourself?

I personally don’t know what my favourite thing about myself is because I don’t love myself enough if I had to say anything the fact I’ve got a caring nature and always willing to help anyone.

11.Why is your blogs name what it is called?

My blogs name is time to talk because it was going to be a blog based on raising awareness of the stigma surrounding mental health and the fact more people needed to start speaking and talking about mental health and have the confidence to talk about it.

Thank you so much for the nomination @jaazsaunders, I hope my answers give you a bit more of insight into who I am and just general things about blogging and me.

– why did you start your blog?

Congratulations on your nominations! It’s so much fun being involved in the blogging community. And I love the last question about the duck and horse lol. Best wishes in all of your future writing!

  2. “ you can only do what you are capable of doing, so don’t kill yourself trying to please everyone else” WHY DID I NOT HAVE A TEACHER LIKE THAT? I needed that kind of advice when I was 16 instead of ‘you should go to uni’.

You deserve recognition. Your writing is so honest and incredibly important.

I also like your answer to question 11. A lot of people go for duck-sized horses, but I think people underestimate the struggle an army of small horses could be (I appreciate it’s a stupid question but it always makes me laugh).
